The Colorado Legislature is currently considering Senate Bill 12-038, a bill advertised as a consumer protection initiative against unscrupulous roofing contractors in Colorado. Sounds good right? Here is the problem, the bill was written by the insurance industry’s lobby!
This cleverly worded bill gives incredible power to an insurance adjuster, and empowers him/her with ability to control the scope of work, and manipulate the loss evaluation process.
