Impact Claim Services is the premier Public Insurance Adjusting firm in the Denver Metro Area, and we are not your typical public adjusting firm. We specialize in large and complex commercial losses ($3MM+ only). We are committed to serving our clients in recovering ALL money owed to them under their policy. Commercial Claims Manager

Impact Claim Services is looking for a long time industry professional, who is looking to join a stable and rapidly growing company with massive growth opportunities. The Commercial Claims Manager position will work jointly with the President of the company to develop, grow and manage the claims department of the company. This position will instrumental in the company’s expansion and is intended to lead to an executive level role within the company.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work in tandem with the company President to develop and execute through completion a claims settlement strategy and plan on a claim by claim basis.
  • Work interdepartmentally to investigate insurance claims and facilitate claims handling activities, including but not limited to investigating and assisting the office production staff representatives in documenting and presenting claims to insurance companies.
  • Examines claim forms, policy and other records to determine insurance coverage.
  • Prepares accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports and letters to insurance carriers, including reports on complex and/or highly detailed claims, providing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Implement workflow planning, proactive identification and resolution of issues that impact workflow, customer service and the fulfillment of claims policy and procedural requirements.
  • Uses a broad and in-depth knowledge of property construction, and/or knowledge of the specific industry or business affected, personally conduct property inspections as necessary to depict and substantiate losses or damage, and manage the work of large, diverse teams of experts.
  • Obtain necessary information from the Insured and from experts such as architects, engineers, builders, construction workers, police officers, health care practitioners, accountants, and others to fully and accurately assess the extent of the loss.
  • Works cooperatively with expert witnesses, attorneys, public adjusters, and carrier’s examiners as needed to conduct investigations, confirm findings and support evaluations.
  • Utilizing experience and judgment to determine when additional in-house or outside expert assistance may be required.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in Commercial Property Claims Adjusting and Claims Management.
  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • 2 of the following designations: CPCU, PCLS/PCLA, SPPA, AIC.
  • Commercial construction experience preferred, knowledge of commercial general construction a must.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, problem solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Advanced computer skills in Mac platform preferred consisting of word processing, spreadsheets and email needed. (Office is Apple/Mac dependent).
  • Must have EXCELLENT writing capabilities (typing, grammar and punctuations skills).
  • Maintains an advanced degree of confidentiality and sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure as well as the ability to deal with interruptions and other unexpected events and make necessary adjustments.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to understand claims adjudication processes and property claim law and jurisdictional issues.
  • Research and investigative abilities; negotiating, conflict resolution and persuasion abilities; trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; keen service orientation and ability to grasp and respond to varying and multiple client needs.
  • Ability to interpret policies and other written technical information.
  • Strong working knowledge of property estimating software such as Xactimate required.
  • Candidates must have, or be able to promptly obtain a Public Adjusters License and Colorado Surety bond.

Licensed Public Adjuster

We have developed a targeted marketing strategy that allows us to identify and target hail damaged buildings, based on our desired claim parameters. Our Public Adjusters are able to pick and choose the projects they wish to work on, which in turn allows our adjusters to earn a very lucrative living doing what they love to do. YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO KNOCK DOORS, nor do you need to at our firm to be successful.

We are able to provide our adjusters with a TEAM atmosphere and the assistance they need to be successful. Our Public Adjusters are supported by claims documentation staff, which document the details of the loss and provide it to the cases Public Adjuster to present and settle with the carrier.

Experience:

Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years experience of adjusting property claims to be considered and 2 years in the insurance restoration business.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of commercial construction, excellent sales skills, be motivated and energetic and also have the continued desire to learn. Candidate should have knowledge in property insurance policies and their interpretation as well as the forensic investigation abilities necessary to identify and evaluate damage. Xactimate experience is helpful but not necessary as we have additional support staff that prepares claims estimates.

It is imperative for this position that the candidate be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently with the support and backing of corporate headquarters and our staff.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, Source and Solicit potential claims falling within the outlined parameters by Impact Claim Services.
  • Present to potential policyholder’s information regarding Impact Claim Services products and services.
  • Inspect properties for potential damage caused by hail and wind covered under a standard property and casualty insurance policy.
  • Write comprehensive inspection reports of property observations upon completion of site investigation to present to potential
  • clients. This includes properties, which are not damaged by hail and wind to serve as a report of record for policyholders in the future.
  • Prepare, present and execute public adjusting contracts and letters of representation to new customers.
  • File claims upon retention with insurance carriers.
  • Schedule, coordinate and meet insurance adjusters and any needed experts to conduct an investigation of the subject loss.
  • Act as an escort for additionally requested inspections and site visits.
  • Compile a detailed outline of what is needed to develop and present a complete claim presentation.

  • Participate in weekly claims planning meetings with Project Management, Claims Management, and Senior Management to ensure projects are thoroughly completed in a timely manner.

  • Public Adjuster will at all times operate within Impact Claim Services outlined company policies and procedures.
  • Public Adjusters will at all times put the needs and interests of their clients ahead of their own or the company’s.
  • Public Adjuster will operate within guidelines outlined by the department of insurance or any other public adjuster regulations in the state of which we are doing business.
  • Public Adjuster will honor and adhere to the Code of Conduct outlined by the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.
  • Public Adjuster will adhere and operate within standard best claims practices.

Candidates must have a Public Adjusters License and Colorado Surety bond, or other state issued Public Adjusters license with reciprocity; or applicable experience in order to be considered for the position.

Project Manager/Estimator

We are looking for a Project Manager/Estimator to Plan, Coordinate, Execute and Oversee the processing of our claims investigation and claims documentation process.

Individual will be responsible for the coordination and compiling of our damage investigation, including:

  • Working with the projects managing public adjuster to understand the project, damages and necessary scope of a projects investigation.
  • Develop a plan and timeline for the execution and completion of the claims investigation, including all documentation of damages to roofs, exteriors, and interior building elements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the inspection and documentation of the loss, including all photos, measurements and coordination of additional expert inspections and estimates.
  • Develop a detailed outline of all required repairs of a loss, for the estimating team to develop the scope of repairs.
    Compiling preparing the claim files into company tracking systems.
  • Compile all data into useable format for estimators and PA’s to interpret and utilize in their estimates.
  • Create a framework of the estimate in Xactimate to include a sketch of the roof system and exterior walls including all components. Roofs, siding, brick, windows, etc…

Experience needed:

  • 5+ years experience in Commercial Construction preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with Xactimate Estimating software.
  • Detailed understanding of the Insurance Claims Process.
  • Ability to perform on high level in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized and detail oriented approach critical.
  • Advanced computer skills in Mac platform (Office is Apple/Mac dependent).
  • Microsoft office (outlook, excel, word, pdf, scan, etc…)
  • Ability to multi task, completing new projects outside of normal duties
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
